Trinity Church will be hosting the annual community clothing sale after skipping last year because of Covid. Clean, usable clothing and footwear can be left in the Fellowship Hall after noon on Sunday Oct.10, and anytime on Monday/Tuesday Oct. 11-12th. Sorting will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday Oct. 13, and continue until 5. We need LOTS of help for this so stop in for an hour or for the day. Sorters are able to buy ahead. The sale will run Thurs. Oct. 14 and Oct.15 from 10-6. Saturday, Oct. 16 10-1:00pm is the “Make a Donation” day so shoppers can take whatever they can use without prices. All proceeds go to the Trinity Youth Fund. Label the bags, if possible, with ‘Men’s shirts,’ ‘Ladies sweaters,” etc. to help with sorting.
On Saturday at 1:00 pm the packing up and loading of the remaining clothing takes place. We need many helpers, and especially some men. We can accomplish clean-up in an hour if enough people show up to help!
If you have never attended before, you must come to see all the wonderful things donated by the Island community. Hopefully, some of it will go home with you. All workers and shoppers will need to wear a mask in the church. The remaining clothing will be distributed to off-island charities.
